Robert A. Martin, President- Mr. Martin, founder and President of LDC, has over 40 years of experience in land-use related design, construction, development, and project management. His expertise includes hands-on planning and design as well as coordination and management of design teams. As president of LDC, has led the firm by personally working with staff members and overseeing all projects. Before starting LDC, Mr. Martin worked for the City of Colorado Springs as Assistant City Engineer, head of the Engineering Division of the Public Works Department, and Public Works Administrator. Throughout his municipal career, he was a key staff member, integral in the growth of the greater Colorado Springs area. Mr. Martin received his formal education in England at Watford Technical College and began working in the engineering field in 1960. Mr. Martin is a respected member of the community, donating valuable hours as a volunteer with numerous local and state committees, boards and programs. Adrian Stanciu, Planning Director- Mr. Stanciu, our Planning Director and Projects Administrator earned his Bachelor of Architecture from the Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY. Mr. Stanciu gained extensive experience in civil engineering, construction, and surveying while employed by New York area Architecture and Engineering firms. He has worked in project management, design, construction management, and supervision for jobs involving new construction and revitalization. Mr. Stanciu oversees the daily operations of our planning department as well as coordinating and tracking all projects through the City and County agencies to ensure successful and timely completion. His involvement has ranged from hands-on architectural, planning and civil design to coordination of survey, construction and design teams production. Pam Cherry, Project Manager- Ms. Cherry has obtained degrees in Geography and Geology and has experience working as a planner for both city and regional governmental agencies. She has also worked as a planner within the development community in addition to her position with LDC, Inc. Previously, Pam has worked in transportation planning, GIS mapping, project design, development and management. Projects she has worked on range from historic site renovation and community revitalization to the design of commercial centers and residential subdivisions. James F. Byers, ASLA, Landscape Architect- Mr. Byers is our Senior Landscape Architect, with over 12 years of experience in the profession. Mr. Byers is a registered Landscape Architect in the States of New Mexico and Arizona in addition to his Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from Texas Tech University earned in 1992. Before joining our firm, he spent four years as a project manager with Morrow Reardon Wilkinson Landscape Architects in Albuquerque, NM. His early professional experience came with Linda Tycher and Associates in Dallas, TX. Mr. Byers' professional experience has provided him the opportunity to manage a wide array of Public Works and private sector projects. His experience covers commercial, residential and institutional planning and design including subdivisions and planned developments. He has also participated in the development of large-scale campus landscapes, public roadways, highways and streetscapes. In addition, Mr. Byers' years in the southwest region have provided him the opportunity to develop extensive experience with Xeric Landscape Design and Irrigation Design. Daniel Kupferer, PLS- Mr. Kupferer, Vice President of LDC, Inc., has over thirty four years of land use related design, construction, development and management experience, over twenty five years of which has been in Colorado Springs. He is a registered Professional Land Surveyor in the states of Colorado and Arizona. He was educated at the South Dakota School of Mines, and the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs. He is directly experienced in critical aspects of residential, commercial and industrial subdivision design and surveying, as well as planning and coordination of large residential development. In addition to his responsibilities to LDC, Mr. Kupferer is currently managing operation at our sister firm in Bisbee, Arizona. David V. Hostetler, PLS- Mr. Hostetler is a Registered Professional Land Surveyor in the State of Colorado and serves as Director of Surveying at LDC Inc. He is responsible for field surveying operations relative to boundary and right-of-way surveys, improvement and topographic surveys, and construction staking projects, including review and certification of related survey documentation (i.e. legal descriptions, plats, exhibits, etc.). He directly supervises the office staff in compiling field data into the proper legal format and electronic drawings. Mr. Hostetler has been involved in the land surveying profession since 1970, obtaining his Colorado Professional Land Surveyor's license in 1983. Mr. Hostetler joined LDC, Inc. in 1994, has lived in Colorado Springs since 1958. He has an unmatched knowledge and familiarity with City, County and State surveying regulations and requirements. He is involved in all aspects of the land surveying profession. This includes private individual lot surveys, extensive work with improvement locations and ALTA/ASCM surveys, accident investigation surveys providing horizontal and vertical datum, and providing research, evaluation, evidence and expert witness testimony for court cases. William C. Sanchez, PLS- Mr. Sanchez is our Survey Coordinator in charge of managing of our survey crews and is our primary contact with general contractors and construction superintendents, he ensures that LDC provides the required services accurately and in a timely manner. He has been with LDC for more than 12 years and has over 22 years of experience in most aspects of surveying including subdivision, development, construction and boundary surveys. Mr. Sanchez has gained his experience throughout the western United States while managing survey production in Colorado, Arizona and California. He keeps up to date with latest surveying technology with Total Stations and GPS systems capable of both RTK and post processing to provide a full range surveying needs. James P. Brinkman, PLS- Mr. Brinkman, Project Manager, is one of our most qualified surveyors, working as a Land Surveyor since 1985. He was educated at Michigan Technological University and is a Professional Licensed Surveyor in Colorado, Wisconsin, and Texas as well as having his L.S.I.T. from the state of Maine. Mr. Brinkman joined LDC, Inc. in 2000 his experience ranges from field surveys too office calculations and drawing preparations. He has experience in new home building surveys, improvement surveys, topographic surveys, street & highway surveys, subdivision plats, boundary surveys, ALTA surveys, site construction staking, street & highway staking, bridge layout, including review of plans, research and electronic drawing preparation. He is responsible for Condominium plats and is reviewing the new home building related survey work produced by LDC, Inc .
